A 19th Century Blue and White Meat Plate.
The dished rim decorated with wild roses, against a lattice and paisley background. The centre of the plate a scene of three Indian men fishing from a boat on a lake. A large Moghul palace stands on the far shore, set amongst trees, in the background another Moghul palace stands on a hill top. The rear of the plate impressed for 'Davenport' with anchor mark.
Date c 1840.
Height 1 1/2 inches, width 18 3/4 inches, depth 14 1/2 inches.
