A 19th century Meat Plate. The decent sized 19th century Iron Stone Meat Plate, the octagonal slightly scalloped rim, banded with lattice border, enclosing flowing flowers and foliage. The inner edge of the rim banded in inward rising scrolled petals, before the centre decorated with a scene of a naturalistic garden filled with flowers and blossoming bamboo, amongst which stands an oriental jardiniere overflowing with flowers. The rear with a mark for "Semi China" Height 2 inches, 5cm. Width 19 3/4 inches, 47.5cm. Depth 14 1/2 inches, 36cm. Circa 1840Ref:
