19TH C SALT GLAZE HUNT JUG

A 19th Century Salt Glaze Hunt Jug, the rim and spout with a silver mount, the body decorated in relief with applied scenes of a windmill, people at a tavern, a man astride a barrel of beer, a family eating and drinking. The lower body with applied scenes of a stag hunt. The strap work handle finished with a leaf decoration.

Hall marked for George Fox, London 1861.
