Early 19th Century Strawberry Basket. The basket with a cover topped by a waved edge sugar bowl. The domed oval cover with beaded lattice venting, leading to a rim, fitting within the raised edge of the body. The oval body with a pair of handles and lattice venting, as the sides taper inward and downward to a foot rim, with a slightly recessed base. The whole with blue lattice and floral oriental decoration, under a pearl glaze. Date circa 1820. Height 7 1/2 inches, 19cm. Width 8 1/2 inches, 22cm. Depth 5 1/4 inches, 13cm.Ref: 22908
