A Large 19th Century Masons Jug. With a scallop rim, with raised relief gadrooning to the outer edge, sweeping to the broad spout. The body with convex neck, broadening into the rounded main body, with a raised relief gadrooned banding. The body sweeping into a circular foot, with a slightly recessed underside. The jug mounted with a rising and scrolling supporting handle. The inner rim decorated with flowers and scrolling leaves, repeated to the outer rim. The main body decorated with wild flowers and foliate, amongst which stand 'Oriental' jardinières, around which exotic beasts twist. The underside marked for 'Florentine Opaque China'. Date circa 1850. Height 13 1/2 inches, 24cm. Width 14 inches, 36cm. Depth 10 1/2 inches, 27cm.Ref: 24004
