LARGE IMARI VASE & COVER

A Very Large 19th Century Imari Vase and Cover.

The octagonal bell shaped lid with a griffin/dragon finial, the beasts wings outstretched. The octagonal body with a high collar, and octagonal baluster profile, decorated with reserves of leaping dogs, in a woodland and garden setting. The reserves set against a background of dragons, leaves, flowers, crabs and cranes. The decoration repeated to the lid.
