An Early 19th Century Masons Ironstone Tureen. The tureen with a domed cover, topped with a scrolled leaf handle, on a blue ground, with gilt highlighting, surrounding an oriental scene of vases, filled with flowers, amongst a profusion of flowers, and leaves, upon which a swan nests. The body of the tureen tapering into a waisted, and thence spreading raised foot, the body likewise decorated with scenes of an oriental garden, filled with a profusion of flowers and leaves, within which a flower filled vase sits, and swans next. The scene repeated to the inside of the tureen and the interior rim. The body mounted with a pair of blue ground and gilt highlighted rabbit head handles. The underside marked for 'PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA' within a swag crown. Height 10 inches, 25cm. Width 13 inches, 33cm. Depth 9 inches, 23cm. Date circa 1820.
