A Pair of 18th Century Delft Apothecary Jars. Each jar with a slightly outward canted raised rim, above the pear shaped bodies, tapering into a waisted stem, and thence the hollow domed base, spreading to an outward curved foot rim. Each jar with a scrolled floral reserve, joined at the bottom by a Chinaman. The reserves titled 'E.DE,CIGIIE' and 'E.DE NICOT'. Date c 1720. Height 5 3/4 inches, 15cm. Width 3 1/2 inches, 9cm. Depth 3 1/2 inches, 9cm.
