Delftware/Ceramics >> PAIR OF ROGERS MEAT PLATES

A Pair of 19th Century Rogers Blue and White Meat Plates.

Each with a broad rim, decorated with an egg and dart outer band, surrounding an attractive decoration of carnations, melon flowers, and chrysanthemums in leaf.  The inner scene held within a greek key border, and depicting an oriental scene of a mother and father watching their child riding a zebra, amongst mature gardens with pagoda roofed houses, set within the garden.  The rear of each meat plate impressed 'Rogers' and '20'.

Height 2 inches, width 20 3/4 inches, depth 15 1/2 inches.
