GEORGE III STEEL FENDER

A George III Burnished Steel Fender. The fender with a rounded mould top edge, above a frieze decorated with interlocking pierced rounds, centred and finished to the upper and lower edges with domed rosettes. The fender resting on an ogee foot mould. The mouldings continued to the solid frieze returns. Date circa 1780. Height 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Width 51 inches, 130cm. Depth 12 1/2 inches, 32cm.
