A George III Mahogany Butlers Tray. The tray with ratchet hinged sides, which when raised form a rectangular tray, and when flat, an oval. The sides with shaped hand holds. The centre of the tray with broad outer rails, enclosing four central panels. The folding stand, with cross stretchers. Date circa 1780. Height when tray flat 31 1/4 inches, 80cm. Width when tray flat 34 1/2 inches, 88cm. Depth when tray flat 26 inches, 66cm.Ref:
