18TH C PLANK CHEST

An 18th Century Plank Chest. The hinged lid with broad rounded mould edge, opening to the interior. The front board with a wrought iron locking plate, and the painted ownership initials 'R P'. The side boards continued to bowed bracket feet. The boards finished with a stepped and rounded moulding. Height 19 3/4 inches, width 37 1/2 inches, depth 15 1/2 inches. Date c 1720.
