A 19th Century Mahogany Hall Bench, Window Seat. The bench with turned baluster ends, faced with turned and shaped paterae. The top with a rounded mould edge, overhanging the frieze, joining the four ring turned and shaped legs, tapering inward and downward to the feet. The hall bench with the unusual and very useful facility of a hinged seat, opening to a rectangular box interior. Date c 1850. Height 21 1/2 inches, 54.5cm. Width 54 inches, 137cm.
