A 19th Century Mahogany Table. The table with a pair of drop leaves, supported by gate brackets, flanking the centre panel. The top finished with double rounded mould edge, over the frieze holding a pair of mahogany lined drawers, each with the original knob handles. The lower drawer with an arrangement of compartments, and a needle pad. The drawer arrangement repeated to the rear with blind drawers. The lower frieze finished with a rounded reeded moulding, this sliding forward to reveal the silk sewing bag. The table raised up on an outward and downward square column finished with rounded corner columns and held within a leaf carved collar. The re entrant sided plinth with rounded reed mouldings as per the frieze, meeting the leaf decorated scrolled feet, with castors to the undersides. Height 30 1/2 inches, 78cm. Width 19 1/2 inches, 49cm. Depth 10 inches, 48cm. Date circa 1840.Ref: 23992
