A 19th century simulated rosewood side chair, with a curved and scrolled top rail, above sweeping sides, tapering outward and downward to the upholstered drop in seat, and enclosing the bergere back rest. The chair standing on turned and tapering legs, to the front and outward swept legs to the rear. Height 32 1/2 inches, 83cm. Width 19 1/2 inches, 50cm. Depth 19 1/2 inches, 50cm. Date circa 1840.Ref:
