A George III Mahogany Cellaret or Wine Cooler, the octagonal body with a mould edge lid, opening to a lead lined interior fitted with 9 interior divisions and a central drainage plug. The body tapering slightly, resting on a conforming mould edged stand, with four tapering legs, finished with brass cup castors.  The body with two bands of broad brass coopering and a pair of hinged lifting handles.  Complete with lock and key.

Once used to store wine that had been brought up from the cellar into the dining room.

Also useful as a lamp table or drinks table.
