A Large 19th Century Open Armchair, with good needlework upholstery.
The frame with a channel shaping, and backrest centred by scrolling leaves and flowers.
The arms with swept supports with leaf and petal head decoration. The lower side and front rails with carved decoration to compliment the top rail, the tapering legs with lozenge and scroll leaf decoration.
The needlework uplholstery depicting a classical scene of a lady attendant in 'petite point' surrounded by leaves and flowers. The seat and arms with further leaf and flower needlework.
