A Large 19th Century Walnut Centre Stool.
The upholstered seat folding to a serpentine shaped lower rail, centred by scrolled leaf decoration and sweeping each end to meet a tapering cabriole leg, carved to the top with fluted scrolls, and tapering to scrolled leaf decorated toes.
Date c 1860.
Height 17 1/2 inches, width 36 inches, depth 24 1/2 inches.
Ideal as a coffee/magazine table in front of a sofa.
