A Regency Open Arm Chair. With a curved top rail, decorated with classical flowing leaves, meeting pommel topped ends and enclosing an interwoven back rest, and a curved lower rail. The arms curving outward and downward to vase shaped uprights, before the bergère seat, with a swab cushion. The legs ring turned and tapering to shaped toes. The whole with the original gilt floral and foliate decoration. Date circa 1820. Height 35 inches, 89cm. Width 21 inches, 53cm. Depth 21 inches, 53cm.Ref:
