An Early 19th Century Rosewood Console Table. With a crossbanded raised back, over the top faced with likewise crossbanding, over an ogee profile frieze, finished with a fine mould edge. The top supported by Egyptian Herm for legs. The capitals of Egyptian masks, over the tapering legs, standing on reeded 'feet'. The rear of the console with crossbanded edges holding the original mirror plate. The whole raised on a rectangular plinth base, finished with rounded mould edges. A restrained and handsome table. Date circa 1820. Height 36 inches, 91cm. Width 22 1/2 inches, 57cm. Depth 11 inches, 28cm.
