An Early 19th Century Gilt Bracket. The flat top surface, surrounded by a conforming ogee, concave, and stepped mould profile edge, following the bow front centre, sweeping to square corners, and thence a bow return, finished with a corner facings. The bracket body carved with classical motifs, being a well detailed Rams head, fronting the scrolled steeped boss, set amongst the gathered wings of an eagle, emerging from the acanthus leaf terminal. The whole with the original gilt finish. Height 16inches, 41cm. Width 15 3/4 inches, 40cm. Depth 10 3/4 inches, 27cm. Circa 1820Ref: 23293
