19TH C CLARET JUG

A 19th Century Cut Glass and Silver Plated Claret Jug, the top with a foliate finial and down swept lid, decorated with scrolled leaf work, above a collar with similar leaf decoration and lattice panels. The spout decorated with a bacchanalian mask set amongst vine leaves and grapes, the handle cast with scroll, leave and bead decoration. The cut-glass body tapering outward and cut with fluted and diamond decoration. The base cut with a radiating star.
