18TH C CARVED OAK FIGURE

An 18th Century Carved Oak Figure of a Bishop. He stands looking, wearing his mitre and full long robes. He holds a bible in his right hand, whilst he lifts his left hand. Very well carved, with excellent detail to his mitre, wavy hair and face. In very good condition, excellent patination. Date circa 1770. Height 22 inches, 56cm. Width 7 1/4 inches, 20cm. Depth 4 3/4 inches, 12cm.
