An 18th Century Flintlock Blunderbuss. The brass barrel with a ringed trumpet end, tapering to an octagonal staging. The barrel proof marked. The steel flintlock mechanism, engraved for the maker 'COOMBES' held within the walnut stock. The fore end of the stock holding a ramrod held within a ringed pipe. The broad brass trigger guard and butt plate complete the stock. Date circa 1780. Height 8 inches, 20cm. Width 33 inches, 84cm. Depth 2 1/2 inches, 7cm.Ref: 22136
