18TH C FLINTLOCK DOUBLE BARREL PISTOL

An 18th Century Pistol with double barrels, proof marked, fronting the flintlock mechanism, with a slide safety catch and barrel selecting lever. The mechanism engraved with military colours, and the makers name, J W Richards, London'. The trigger guard further engraved with floral motifs. The whole with mahogany grip. Date c 1780. Height 4 1/2 inches, width 8 inches, depth 1 inch.
