Miscellaneous, Silver >> 18TH C SILVER MOUNTED COCONUT CUP

An 18th Century Silver Mounted Coconut Cup.

The rim mounted with a silver collar tapering outward to a petal decorated lower edge.  The coconut body carved with circular panels centred by radiating stars, surrounded by chevron bands.  The panels separated by hearts, with cross hatching.  The cup standing on a waisted tapering column with a horizontal beaded band, above the outward tapering foot, with a stepped and beaded edge. 

Hallmarked for George Baskerville, London 1787.
