A 19th Century Brass Telescope by Dunn, Edinburgh. The lens with a lift off gilt brass cover, to the front of the long barrel, with two draws. The draws operated by a ratchet wheel, and the angle of the telescope controlled by a ratchet operated supporting arm. The telescope rotating on a tapering column stand, resting on a tripod base, with pad feet. Complete with mahogany case, eye pieces, and further lens. Date c 1850. Length of main barrel 44 inches, 59 inches when open. Diameter of barrel 3 1/2 inches.
