A 19th Century Carved Birch Wood Black Forest Boar. The fierce beast striding forward over rock strewn ground. He raises his head as he looks forward, with tusks on display and ears spread. His coarse coat raised, as his tail curls over his hind quarters. The whole on a conforming plinth base, finished with a concave edge. Date circa 1870. Height 10 1/2 inches, 27cm.
