A 19th Century English Pressed Papier Mache Jardiniere. With a rounded rim, over the oval body, tapering to the foot, with a slightly recessed base. The body mounted to either end with steel carrying handles. The body decorated with two horizontal bands to simulate steel coopering. The underside with a makers mark. Height 9 inches, 23cm. Width 21 inches, 53cm. Depth 16 1/2 inches, 42cm. Date circa 1870.Ref: 24286
