19TH C PAPIER MACHE TRAY

An Early 19th Century Papier Mache Tray. With a stepped rim, over the sloping raised sides, meeting the rounded corners. The sides decorated with flowing flowers and leaves, surrounding the flat centre banded by a gilt line edge, and thence flowing flowers and leaves, enclosing a rectangular centre, Height 1 3/4 inches, 4cm. Width 20 1/4 inches, 51cm. Depth 15 inches, 38cm. Date circa 1820.
