A Pair of 17th Century Carved Oak Pilasters. Each with a Corinthian capital, atop which a mythological dolphin twists. The reeded columns spreading to plinths with pairs of gryphons, perching under spreading and rising scrolling leaves above which mythological beasts appear amongst spreading and hanging leaves. Date circa 1670. Height 48 inches, 120cm. Width 5 inches, 13cm. Depth 2 1/14 inches, 6cm.Ref: 22781
