A Pair of 19th century Baskets, in Wire Work. The bodies with oval and sweeping wires, rising to the outward swept spire tops. The bodies tapering inward and downward, to be gathered by a band of finely interwoven wirework, enclosed by wire roping. The bodies raised up on the inverted form of the baskets, being oval and sweeping wires, finished with pointed toes. The baskets holding lift out tin liners. Height 8 inches, 20.5cm. Width 16 1/2 inches, 42cm. Depth 15 1/2 inches, 37cm. Circa 1870Ref: 24359
