PAIR OF CARVED BRACKETS

A Pair of 19th Century Carved Walnut Brackets. Each with flat tops over bodies carved as bacchanalian masks, the faces emerging from curling hair, amongst which pointed ears show. the roaring mouths surrounded by curled and scrolling beards. Date c 1870. Height 6 1/2 inches, width 4 1/2 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.
