A 19th Century Silver Plated Hip Flask.

The rounded cap, hinged and closing with a screw bayonet fixing.  The rectangular body with rounded corners and edges, the body of slightly curved profile to fit comfortably in a pocket.  The base with a small foot rim, marked for James Dixon & Son,

Date c 1880.
