An Early 18th Century Solid Silver Tankard. The tankard with a domed cover, opening with a scrolled and reeded thumb grip, tohe hinged bracket mount of the handle, which scrolls and tapers to a spade terminal. The body tapering outward and downward, with horizontal banding, and the stepped and ringed foot with a slightly recessed base. Hallmarked for London 1728. Height 7 inches, 18cm. Width 6 1/2 inches, 16cm. Depth 4 3/4 inches, 12cm.Ref: 22309
