An Early 19th Century Silver Wine Funnel. The rounded bowl with a reeded rim, over the body sweeping into a reeded collar, fitting within the rim of the reeded and stepped tapering funnel meeting the circular and tapering stem, finished with an off set spout. The wine funnel with a radiating sieve centre to the bowl and ah hinged handing loop, complete with the inner muslin ring. Hallmarked for Peter and Anne Bateman, London 1815. Height 5 inches, 13cm. Diameter 3 1/4 inches, 8cm.
