A William IV Silver Plated Gallon Tankard. The tankard with a reed rim, above the downward and outward tapering body. The body decorated with a reed central band, and the tankard standing on an ogee shaped foot rim. The tankard mounted with a sweeping handle, finished with a heart terminal. The tankard impressed with excise marks for William IV and further impressed for 'W.Naylor' with British standard 'GALN' excise mark. Date c 1830. Height 8 1/2 inches, 22cm. Width 6 1/2 inches, 17cm.
