A large 19th century silver plated hip flask. The slim flask with a rounded and reeded grip rotating lid, hinging on long straps, to a rectangular body, with rounded corners, and slightly curved to fit snuggly into a pocket. The lower body with a slide off cup of conforming shape. Marked to the underside for capacity 3/8 pint, James Dixon & Son. Retailers engraving for Gieves, 21 Old Bond Street, W.
