A Regency Silver Wine Funnel. The funnel with a lift out straining cup, the cup with a reeded circular rim, and lifting handle, above the cup body tapering into a sieve centre, enclosed by a collar foot rim. The main body with a reeded circular rim, the rounded body tapering to a long neck, decorated with reeded circular banding, and set with vertical reeds to allow the escape of air from the decanter. The neck sweeping to anoff set sparrow beak spout. Hallmarked for London 1807. Height 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Width 3 1/4 inches, 8.5cm. Depth 4 1/4 inches, 11cm.Ref:
