A Late 17th Century / Early 18th Century Polychrome Carved Wood Figure.
The figure of Mary or Eve, she stands with her head slightly to one side, her hands clasped in prayer, wearing a long robe and cloak. She stands atop an orb, representing the world, around which a snake, with an apple in his mouth, twists.
Date c 1700
