A George III Stick Barometer.
The late 18th century mahogany stick barometer with a swan neck pediment, flanking a vase finial. The glazed door opening to the silvered dial. The dial with a subsidiary cursor gauge, weather indication, and the makers name, James Long, Royal Exchange, London. The body with a glazed and silvered thermometer, the body rounding to the ring decorated cistern cover.
