A 19th Century Bronze Figure of Atalanta.
Depicting Atalanta in the race with Hippomenes. She is depicted with her hair gathered in a ribbon, wearing a light open dress as she runs forward. The bronze on a conforming circular base, mounted on a Breche marble plinth finished with convex edges. The bronze base impressed for the foundry of F Barbedienne.
Date circa 1840.
