A 19th Century Brass Door Porter.
The door stop in the form of a very fierce griffin. The beast in profile, roaring as he holds a scrolled cartouche. The griffin seated on a gadroon capped plinth, the concave edge fronted by a scroll and medallion front panel, and finished with a stepped rectangular foot. The rear with lead loading.
Date circa 1850.
