A 19th Century Silver Plated Basket.
The basket with a hinged loop handle, the arch top decorated with spreading and scrolling leaves, the reeded edge tapering to rising leaves at the hinge ends. The body with a scallop profile rim, with outward spreading gadroons, between quarters of flowers and fruits within scrolled foliage. The body sweeping inward and downward in rounded panels to a concave collar, before a 'rope twist' reeded rim.
Excellent quality and gauge, in remarkable condition.
