A Mid 19th Century Papier Mache Tea Caddy.
The caddy with a bow lid, finished with a rounded mould edge. The lid opening to a pair of tea compartments, with flower head mother of pearl knob handles. The body with conforming bow shaping, finished with a rounded mould and raised up on four bun feet. The whole decorated with wild flowers, amongst gilt leaves and foliage.
Date circa 1850.
