A Pair of 19th century Ironstone Puzzle Jugs.
Eachjug with a broad spout, flowing into the ochre pearl glazed rims, sweeping up to the thumb grip topped handles.
The rounded bodies tapering to a circular ocre pearl glazed foot rim.
The bodies decorated to each side with happy harlequins, and the fronts of the jugs decorated with flowers and a bird, with the owners names and dates below, being "Richard Boardman 1863" and "Elizabeth Boardman 1863"
The undersides marked with a crest, and "Warrented Ironstone China" and the makers, "Elsmore and Forester"
