A 19th Century Oak Long Stool, Bench.
With a rectangular seat, finished with an outward curved edge, over a frieze, with a rounded mould lower edge, meeting the six legs, each with an inverted reed cup top and thence arched flutes, tapering inward and downward to a ringed and ball bottom, continued to the block feet. The legs joined with stretchers.
The bench could be used as a hall seat, window seat or such.
Date circa 1870.
