A 19th Century Vase and Cover by Spode.
The circular cover with a flower bud finial, over the body, sweeping outward and downward, and decorated with radiating and flowing flowers, finished with a waved blue ground and gilt border, amongst which flower heads nestle. The vase with a gilt rim, over the campana shaped body, mounted with a pair of vine leaf and stalk handles. The vase decorated as per the cover, with abundant flowers, emerging from a gilt and blue ground border. This border repeated to the circular foot, before a gilt edge. The vase and cover both marked for Spode.
Date circa 1850.
