A 19th Century Rosewood Stick Barometer. The barometer with a flat pediment, sweeping in an outward chamfered profile to a rounded moulding, with a concave underside, above a rounded glazing slip, holding the glass fronting the dial, to the left marked for weather indication, 'FAIR, CHANGE, RAIN, STORMY'. The left side with pressure scale, and an adjustable cursor. The dial with the makers name PUNG. LYNN. The body with the ursor adjusting knob, over the glazed thermometer, reading for Fahrenheit and Centigrade. The lower body broadening to hold the rounded and ringed cistern cover. Complete and working correctly. Date circa 1850. Height 37 inches, 94cm. Width 4 3/4 inches, 12cm. Depth 2 3/4 inches, 7cm.
