A George III Tea Caddy. The rectangular tea caddy with boxwood strung edges, enclosing walnut cross banded panels surrounding burr yew wood quarters, and thence mahogany ovals, edged in boxwood. The decoration repeated to the front and hinged lid, opening to a pair of silvered paper tea compartments. Date circa 1770. Height 4 1/4 inches, 11cm. Width 6 inches, 15cm. Depth 4 1/4 inches, 11cm.
